Program Overview
Kind Cards for Canadian Heroes is a free, all-ages community project that brings people together to honour Canadian veterans through the creation of handmade cards. These meaningful, handcrafted messages of gratitude will be delivered to veterans across Canada — through local legions, veteran hospitals, and support organizations — as well as veterans in our own communities.

Whether you're a seasoned crafter or someone who just wants to show appreciation, there’s a place for you in this project.

What to Expect at Each Session

• Drop-in card-making at monthly Do Good Rural Rec events in Appin, Ontario

• All supplies provided (paper, markers, stickers, etc.)

• Creative guidance, templates, and sample messages available

• You can create your own card or add a message to one already started
   

No registration required – come by, stay for a few minutes or the whole evening.

Workshop Dates
All sessions are hosted during Do Good Rural Rec events at the Ekfrid Community Centre, 48 Wellington Street, Appin, ON.

Special Events
We’ll also be hosting pop-up card-making stations at special community events, including:

• Canada Day – July 1, 2025 – Southwest Middlesex Canada Day Celebrations
