Please take what you and your family can use.

Be respectful of others styles, abilities, and most importantly of the generosity and kindness of those participating in this swap.

Clothing Swap Wish List (Form)

What is the Clothing Swap Wish List form?
A helpful form for people who can’t attend an in-person swap but would still like to request specific clothing items. We’ll do our best to find clean, wearable clothes that match your needs based on the donations we receive.

Does submitting the form guarantee I’ll receive clothing?
No. We can’t guarantee availability, but we’ll do our best to match requests with what's been donated. This is a community-led project, and every effort is made to connect good clothing with people who can use it.

How do I get the clothing once it’s ready?
You’ll be contacted by email within 1–2 business days to confirm details. You can choose to pick up at a local swap event or request delivery for a small fee to help cover travel costs (if available in your area).

Can someone else fill out the form for me?
Yes! Just make sure they have your permission and know your clothing sizes and preferences. There’s a question on the form that asks if it’s being submitted on your behalf.

What types of clothing can I ask for?
You can request everything from casual clothes to dressy outfits, in categories like shirts, pants, shoes, jackets, and more. You’ll be able to let us know your preferred style, size, and any special notes (like colour or fabric preferences).

What if I don’t like or can’t use the items I receive?
No problem! You’re welcome to return the items to the swap (if it’s still open), or simply pass them along to someone else in your community.

Can I request laundry service for the items I receive?
Yes – if available in your area. Laundry service is $12–$16 per load and must be paid upfront. You can indicate your interest in the form, and we’ll follow up with more details.

I need help filling out the form – what should I do?
Reach out to us at info@dogoodthingsco.ca and we’ll do our best to help.

Have Clothes to Share?

Drop off your donations at the confirmed swap locations, and stay tuned for additional drop-off dates as more swaps are confirmed.

If you’re able when you arrive, please help by roughly sorting your donations into the Clothing Swap bins.

There’s no requirement to bring an item to swap - feel free to take what you and your family can use.

Please be respectful of others' styles, abilities, and most importantly, the generosity and kindness of everyone participating in this swap.

Bulk Clothing Donation (Intake Form)

Who is the Bulk Cloting Donation - Intake Form for?
This form is for anyone with a large donation of clothing — such as full wardrobes, multiple bags, or bins of clothes — who wants to help others by contributing to the End of Summer Free Clothing Swap.

What condition should the clothing be in?
All items must be in clean, wearable condition — ready to be used by someone else without needing stain removal, repairs, or extra cleaning. We cannot accept items with rips, holes, strong odours, or heavy wear.

Do I need to count every item?
No. Just give us a general idea of what you’re donating (e.g. “3 garbage bags of women’s plus-size casual wear” or “2 bins of mixed toddler clothing and shoes”). This helps us sort and possibly match items with requests already submitted.

Where and when can I drop off my donation?
Drop-offs are available at confirmed swap sites:

Melbourne, ON

  • Saturday, August 16 | 9 AM – 2 PM

Newbury, ON

  • Thursday, August 21 | 3 PM – 8 PM
  • Saturday, August 23 | 9 AM – 2 PM

More drop-off options may be added. You’ll receive an email confirmation or reminder once we review your form.

Can you pick up my donation?
Pickup may be available for a small fee to cover travel costs. You can request it in the form. Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee pickup — we’ll follow up by email to confirm details and available times.

Will my donation go to someone who requested help?
Possibly! By telling us what types of clothes and sizes you’re donating, we can try to match items with wishlist requests. Anything not matched will still be shared at the open swap events and/or with local community organizations who also pass along items for free, where everyone is welcome to take what they need.

Can I donate other items like toys, household goods, or formal wear?
Our focus right now is seasonal, everyday clothing, shoes, and accessories. If you have specialty items to share, you can include a note in your form and we’ll follow up if we can use them.

I have more questions — who can I contact?
Reach out to us anytime at info@dogoodthingsco.ca and we’ll be happy to help!

Body & Style Positivity Zone

Our swaps are a judgment-free space where all body types and personal styles are celebrated.

Any form of body or style shaming is not welcome. If anyone is found to be making others uncomfortable, they will be asked to leave.

Please keep this a positive and supportive event for everyone!

How much does it cost?

The clothing swap is completely FREE - we’re all working together to share our extras and make sure everyone has what they need, while keeping items out of landfills!

While the event itself is free, sponsors are needed to help cover costs of the portable storage unit rental and other basic event-related expenses. If you’d like to support this initiative, consider becoming a sponsor to help keep the swap running smoothly!

Portable Storage Unit for Clothing Swaps

To make our clothing swap events more efficient and accessible, we’re using a portable storage unit to store, sort, and display donations.

The unit helps us organize clothing, easily transport items between locations, and engage the community in preparing outfits for those in need.

With a mobile option we can quickly setup and teardown, and make it easier to set up in multiple small towns without multiple trips and extra carrying.

We're working hard to create a smooth, organized process for both volunteers and participants.

Become a Sponsor

Support the clothing swap by becoming a sponsor!

Your sponsorship helps cover the costs of the portable storage unit, event logistics, and ensures the success of this community-driven initiative.
