Participation is voluntary; individuals, parents, and guardians are responsible for their own safety and behavior, and of those in their care, while attending a community activity.

A Playground Social is a community drop-in program designed to bring people together in small-town parks and outdoor spaces. It’s a relaxed, welcoming environment where neighbours of all ages can gather, connect, and enjoy a mix of simple activities that promote creativity, wellness, and community spirit.

Each Playground Social features a rotating mix of free and low-cost activities, special guests, community projects, and free resources and helpful information.

Whether you're dropping by for a few minutes or staying the whole time, everyone is welcome—kids, seniors, families, and local groups too. Come as you are, take part if you’d like, or just enjoy the space with your community.

Things we do at a Playground Social:

• 🌱 Gather & Garden – light garden tasks and conversations
• 🎨 Sketch & Scribble – casual art, poetry, and journaling time
• 🧺 Picnic at the Park – bring your own, pick-up take-out on your way, and keep watch for special snack and food vendor nights too!
• 💛 Sharing Good Things – giveaways, helpful tips, and small exchanges
• ✨ Plus, special guests and surprise pop-up activities throughout the season!
