Clothing Swap Wish List (Form)

What is the Clothing Swap Wish List form?
A helpful form for people who can’t attend an in-person swap but would still like to request specific clothing items. We’ll do our best to find clean, wearable clothes that match your needs based on the donations we receive.

Does submitting the form guarantee I’ll receive clothing?
No. We can’t guarantee availability, but we’ll do our best to match requests with what's been donated. This is a community-led project, and every effort is made to connect good clothing with people who can use it.

How do I get the clothing once it’s ready?
You’ll be contacted by email within 1–2 business days to confirm details. You can choose to pick up at a local swap event or request delivery for a small fee to help cover travel costs (if available in your area).

Can someone else fill out the form for me?
Yes! Just make sure they have your permission and know your clothing sizes and preferences. There’s a question on the form that asks if it’s being submitted on your behalf.

What types of clothing can I ask for?
You can request everything from casual clothes to dressy outfits, in categories like shirts, pants, shoes, jackets, and more. You’ll be able to let us know your preferred style, size, and any special notes (like colour or fabric preferences).

What if I don’t like or can’t use the items I receive?
No problem! You’re welcome to return the items to the swap (if it’s still open), or simply pass them along to someone else in your community.

Can I request laundry service for the items I receive?
Yes – if available in your area. Laundry service is $12–$16 per load and must be paid upfront. You can indicate your interest in the form, and we’ll follow up with more details.

I need help filling out the form – what should I do?
Reach out to us at info@dogoodthingsco.ca and we’ll do our best to help.

Have Clothes to Share?

Drop off your donations at the confirmed swap locations, and stay tuned for additional drop-off dates as more swaps are confirmed.

If you’re able when you arrive, please help by roughly sorting your donations into the Clothing Swap bins.

There’s no requirement to bring an item to swap - feel free to take what you and your family can use.

Please be respectful of others' styles, abilities, and most importantly, the generosity and kindness of everyone participating in this swap.

Body & Style Positivity Zone

Our swaps are a judgment-free space where all body types and personal styles are celebrated.

Any form of body or style shaming is not welcome. If anyone is found to be making others uncomfortable, they will be asked to leave.

Please keep this a positive and supportive event for everyone!

How much does it cost?

The clothing swap is completely FREE - we’re all working together to share our extras and make sure everyone has what they need, while keeping items out of landfills!

While the event itself is free, Community Partners are needed to help make this project happen

If you’d like to support this initiative, consider becoming a Community Partner, or check out the other ways to support the swap.

Portable Storage Unit for Clothing Swaps

To make our clothing swap events more efficient and accessible, we’re using a portable storage unit to store, sort, and display donations.

The unit helps us organize clothing, easily transport items between locations, and engage the community in preparing outfits for those in need.

With a mobile option we can quickly setup and teardown, and make it easier to set up in multiple small towns without multiple trips and extra carrying.

We're working hard to create a smooth, organized process for both volunteers and participants.

FREE CLOTHING SWAP

These free community events are all about sharing, reusing, and making resources more accessible.

The Free Clothing Swap is a chance to clear out your closets, find something new-to-you, and give clothing a second life — all while connecting with neighbours and helping reduce waste.

No cost. No limits. Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to bring something to take something you’ll use.

Together, we can save money, keep usable items out of landfills, and show what rural communities can accomplish when we do good things together.
